Hand knitted socks are a great item to make as not only are they comfortable and durable, they are fairly straightforward to knit once you get going. They also make great gifts for family and friends.
To start socks is easy because once you have cast on and completed the rib, you are basically knitting a tube until you reach the heel which is where this workshop will help.
During this 2 hour workshop you will learn how to knit a reinforced heel flap, turn the heel and pick up stitches for the gusset of your sock.
You will need to do a bit of prep for the workshop, you will need to have to completed the leg of a sock to the desired length so that you are ready to begin the heel flap beforehand.
